Epoxy Materials

Our Epoxy-based materials products are excellent against aqueous salt solutions and non-oxidising acids (e.g., phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, and sulphuric acid). They are primarily used as coating and membrane systems but can also be applied as a mortar or light screed. This means they can be used in a broad range of applications, for masonry or coating applications in pits, trenches, tanks, floors, and storage areas.

Epitek Range

Epitek is recommended for a wide range of applications where a general use coating or mortar system is required, particularly when there is a range of chemicals present and where high abrasion is a common failure method. Ideal for monolithic lining to steel tanks and floors.

  • Our Epitek range displays a broad range of corrosion and abrasion resistance to a variety of different chemicals and concentrations. It provides good resistance to non-oxidising acids (e.g., phosphoric acid hydrochloric acid & dilute sulphuric acid), alkalis, salts, waters, oils, and fats.
  • Epitek is regularly used as a priming system where damaged substrate is found, enhancing the surface and providing a suitable foundation for further protective lining systems.
  • Epitek displays the highest level of mechanical resistance we offer, and as such finds common use in conveyor chutes, mill linings, and high abrasion areas.
  • Epitek can be applied as a coating, membrane, mortar, or even a light screed, depending on filler materials used.

Novolac Epoxy Range

Novolac Epoxy is our recommended product for high concentration areas of sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite and hydrofluoric acid. It can be used in a number of applications such as a coating/membrane in floor areas, a mortar in masonry bund linings or even a light screed, depending on filler materials used.

  • Our Novolac Epoxy range is one of the most corrosion resistant materials on the market and protects against the most aggressive substances even at high concentrations.
  • Novolac Epoxy provides resistance to a large number of concentrated alkalis and salts as well as most non-oxidising acids – even at high concentrations. These include sulphuric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids.
  • Novolac Epoxy products are typically offered as a silica-filled system, but can also be provided as a carbon-filled system for resistance against hydrofluoric acid and caustic environments.
  • Novolac Epoxy is an extremely adaptable material that can be installed as a coating, membrane, or mortar, depending on the filler component used. This versatility allows for its installation in a number of applications such as general tiling / masonry work, trenches, pits, floors, walls, plinths, tanks, and storage areas.

Novolac Vinylester Based Range

Novolac Vinylester is our recommended material for protection against a broad range of high concentration acids and alkalis. It can be utilised as a coating / membrane system but is also commonly used as an acid resistant mortar for masonry lining with good adhesion to steel, brick, and concrete.

  • Our Novolac Vinylester is one of the most corrosion resistant materials available on the market.
  • Vinylester is an extremely adaptable material that can be installed as a coating, membrane, or mortar, depending on the job requirements.
  • Novolac Vinylester is highly versatile and can be utilised in a multitude of installation applications including general tiling / masonry work, trenches, pits, floors, walls, plinths, tanks, and storage areas.
  • Novolac Vinylester provides resistance to a large number of concentrated alkalis and salts and many oxidising acids and non-oxidising acids – even at high concentrations. These include nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids.
  • Novolac Vinylester is also resistant to hydrofluoric acid (with carbon-based filler) and a large number of concentrated alkalis and salts.

AC95

AC95 is our recommended priming material for damp (or difficult) to dry areas and areas with high humidity. It is frequently used as a key prior to laying an epoxy or other resin-based flooring and chemical resistant tiles/bricks.

AC95

  • Our AC95 is an epoxy-based damp tolerant primer designed to seal and enhance new and existing concrete surfaces.
  • AC95 is designed for areas of high humidity and where surfaces cannot be appropriately dried. It will penetrate the porous surface structure of the concrete and react within the cement-aggregate matrix to form a tough, durable epoxy composite with strength far exceeding regular concrete.
  • AC95 can be applied as soon as 48 hours after concrete casting. (Typically, green concrete has to be allowed to cure for 28 days to reach sufficient strength and humidity)
  • AC95 has been tested to 10m of water head pressure.
  • AC95 cures at low ambient temperatures making it an ideal system for highly seasonal environments.
  • Ideal for any areas whereby water ingress/egress is a cause for concern.
